About the Conference

2nd International Office Conference (IOC) "Global Harmony,"

Join us for the 2nd International Office Conference (IOC) “Global Harmony,” where education leaders and professionals will gather to discuss internationalization, partnerships, and innovations in higher education.

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are pivotal in shaping a global knowledge society through innovative teaching, research, and community development. Internationalization enhances a university’s global presence, brand, reputation, and ranking. The IOC aims to foster global harmony through strategic collaborations, addressing internationalization challenges, and promoting peace and inclusivity in education.

Message from Prof. Fathul Wahid, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.

Rector Universitas Islam Indonesia

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh,

The new interconnected but diverse world demands citizens with a new set of capabilities, not only on the individual level but also on the organizational and even societal level. The Covid-19 pandemic is now also in play. It affects almost all aspects of our lives and brings the world to a higher level of uncertainty.

In the context of higher education, universities should proactively cope with any changes. They should adapt their business practices and educational contents that are future proof to produce capable global individual citizens. Meanwhile, at the organizational level, they need to develop capabilities to take advantage of the current development in a mutualistic institutional collaboration.

Strengthening the university international office, hence, is no longer an option. It is indeed a prerequisite to extending the global network. This International Office Conference 2021, the first conference of its kind, may play an essential role as a forum to share perspectives, showcase practical lessons learned, and exchange opportunities.

Let me conclude with an African proverb that may frame this initiative: “If you want to go fast, go alone. But, if you want to go far, go together.” This is our moment and let’s seize it together.

Wassalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh.
